Summary:

The Account Risk Manager is responsible for conducting onsite Risk Management inspections annually with clients and providing them with key risk management services. The Account Risk Manager will be expected to work directly with clients to schedule and conduct these inspections in person, which are designed to assist the client with making their operations safer and more efficient. The Account Risk Manager will be expected to regularly analyze and identify risks for clients and offer solutions to reduce potential for loss. This position requires travel to the client to conduct inspections and will require overnight travel when necessary.

Essential Duties:   

  1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of on-site Risk Management Assessment of the insured facilities, which requires:
    • Review and analysis of the account
    • Communication with the Underwriting Department
    • Communication with Insureds
    • Conducting on-site inspections
    • Analyzing inspection information to generate detailed Recommendation Reports
  2. Conducting follow-ups to recommendations
  3. Conduct special inspections to evaluate specific areas such as playground equipment, gymnasiums, fire or life safety situations, or athletic exposures, etc.
  4. Provide clients with Risk Management Advisory services such as research and industry best practices.
  5. Attend and lead Safety & Security Committee meetings to provide technical assistance, training, and resource materials for program members.
  6. Attend trade shows and conferences as needed.
  7. Conduct and host webinars on a variety of topics.
  8. Promote and provide additional risk management services as appropriate.
  9. Assist with information analysis and the development of new risk management resources and/or services as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education or equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with the operations of school districts and/or BOCES environments
  • AINS designation or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of risk management/insurance experience preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of computers in a Windows-based environment is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay attention to details, good time-management skills, and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to manage priorities of work, maintaining required production levels, and ability to comply with accepted practices and guidelines.
  • Meet expectations for attendance, punctuality, and ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • This position may require overnight travel.

Hours: Full-time, EST
Compensation: $55,000.00 to $70,000.00
