Cortland, NY – August 28, 2025 – McNeil & Co., a leading national managing general agent known for delivering specialty insurance programs with unmatched customer service, has been selected as the new program manager for New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal (NYSIR), the largest provider of property and casualty insurance for New York State public school districts.
Following a competitive RFP process, McNeil & Co. will assume responsibility for claims, underwriting, risk management, and marketing/member support for NYSIR’s more than 350 subscribing districts statewide.

The new program management agreement takes effect February 1, 2026.
